Fabulous Fashion at The Market Place, Bolton

Hey guys, second post of the day and I’m happily ploughing through my slowly diminishing writing pile. The nights are drawing in for those dark, winter evenings but it’s not all doom and gloom – a new season means a new wardrobe (yaay!). I’m in the process of stocking up on my autumn/winter ensembles. I know, I know, it’s late, but the chocca diary is playing havoc with my ‘To Do List’ (better late than never).

I attended a fashion show last week at the Market Place in Bolton which was really cool. Organised in collaboration with the Pulse Agency it was full of fun, frolics and fabulous fashion. Have you ever been to the Market Place? I usually go first thing in the morning and shop till I drop, scrummy caramel macchiato (courtesy of Starbucks) in hand. I’ve seen the Market Place change over the past decade and it continues to be an awesome shopping mall and a lovely space to boot. Boasting brand names such as Zara, H&M and Top Shop to name but a few, the fashion show provided a brilliant snapshot into this season’s hottest trends. From dramatic opulence to glam goth rock, key looks were deliciously showcased whilst loud punchy tunes added an extra buzz. One of my favourite looks was the statement watch worn by dishy Jerone. It was understated cool and I’m currently trying to get a picture of it; when I do, I’ll post right here so you can see why I fell in love with it.

I’m also in the process of putting together a fashion report of the key trends over the upcoming seasons and I promise that you guys will be the first to see it! Other blog posts which I’m fleshing out include a full fashion feature on Dallas (those guys really know how to rock the equestrian theme). And with the final instalment of a certain vampire film next month (oh come on guys, it’s the end of an era), I’m rather excited about a Twilight fashion feature. I’ll chat about how the looks for the characters have changed and THAT wedding dress that looked spookily similar to Sarah Burton’s number worn by the Duchess of Cambridge.

Chat soon,

RAx
