Eagerly anticipated Mediterranean and Middle Eastern restaurant Suri has revealed its new menu ahead of its official opening to the public on Friday 10 March 2017.

Located on Manchester’s illustrious King Street, Suri will offer premium casual dining with food that draws on the rich flavours and culinary traditions of the Med, the Middle East and beyond.

Featuring a wide selection of sharing plates, Suri’s menu is conveniently split into categories such as Graze, Field, Farm, Waves and Enjoy, and prides itself on using locally sourced seasonal produce, to deliver unique dishes that are infused with the flavours and tastes of the Middle East.

Options from the ‘Farm’ section include spiced pork belly with crackling mustard and traditional Lebanese lamb with roasted garlic, tzatziki and pomegranate. The ‘Waves’ section offers seasonal fresh fish such as charcoal roasted, blackened hake served with a crab and mint salad, and the whole fish of the day traditionally cooked on the bone over charcoal and served with steamed shellfish and fennel wedges.

For vegetarians, the ‘Fields’ section delivers delights such as crunchy cauliflower florets with tahini, red pepper, smooth sesame and aubergine while the aptly named ‘Enjoy’ section offers desserts such as the ‘Polenta Baba’, a wheat-free lemon polenta cake, served with almonds, fresh figs and whipped sweet mascarpone.

The restaurant is the brainchild of restaurateur Terence Langley co-owner of City District (Fazenda), property investor and developer James Coubrough and property consultant-turned-restaurateur Andrea George, who wanted to create a flavour profile for Suri that reflected the Med’s rich heritage of culinary techniques and flavours that have been passed down through ages.
