Hi all,

I hope you’re well on this gorgeous Wednesday. This is a super quick post as I have some exciting news to share – I’m officially a judge for the Asian Curry Awards 2015. This pleases me greatly, because Indian and Thai dishes are two of my favourite cuisines in the entire universe.

I’ll be in good company. On the panel is critically acclaimed Michelin Star Chef and Chinese Masterchef winner William Poon, member of both Master Chefs of Great Britain and the Academie Culinaire de France. Jason Freedman and Editorial Director of Asiana Wedding Magazine and Asiana.TV, Momtaz Begum-Hossain.

We have a joint passion for curries. I grew up eating scrumptious chicken curries that packed a punch. As a wannabe chef from the age of 10, I recall watching my grandmother cook and own the kitchen. I was totally envious of her cooking flair (granted the kitchen would resemble a burgled room but her food was to die for). I learnt a lot about nuanced cooking from my beloved grandmother, who made the spiciest, most delicious fish curry that I have ever tasted. She in turn taught my mother to make the best chicken curry, who in turn taught me. Lucky me!

I cannot wait to start reviewing some very special restaurants soon. The nominations for the Asian Curry Awards close on 30 September 2015, so get nominating by hopping online via www.asiancurryawards.com/nomination or email the name and location of the restaurant to [email protected].

See you soon and have a great day!
